Carlos Mendes, 47, passed into eternity with his loving family by his side. Born on the island of Brava, Cape Verde, the son of the late Alberto Mendes and Leticia Martines. Immigrating to the United States in 2001, he settled in the City of Pawtucket where he became a valued member of the Cape Verdean community, where he joined other members in the Healthcare Industry. He is survived by his loving wife Jacinta Mendes of 15 years, and sons, Carlos Mendes and Ruben Andrade of Taunton, Massachusetts. He is also survived by brothers, Antonio Silva Pereira of Central Falls, R.I., Reinaldo Mendes, Alfredo Mendes and Joao Mendes all of Cape Verde, Sisters Leopoldina Mendes and Carolina Mendes of Cape Verde, and Rosa Mendes of Pawtucket R.I.
His funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 8:45am in the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Avenue, Lincoln R.I., with the service starting at 10:00am Internment Services will be held in the North Burial Ground North Main Street Providence R.I. Relative and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday March 12, 2019 from 5 to 8pm
